A life-changing S4C project has received a fantastic response to its call for people who want to transform their lives. FFIT Cymru advertised for five leaders who will feature in a new TV series aimed at transforming the health of the nation. The show’s producers, Cwmni Da, have received over 200 applications from all over Wales.
“We have been delighted with the response”, said Siwan Haf, the series producer. “Wales has one of the poorest health records in Europe, and the project has obviously struck the right note. We’ll be offering the five leaders a personal dietician, psychologist and fitness instructor as we help them change to a healthier lifestyle over an 8 week period.”
The applications are now being processed and a short-list of twenty five will be invited to attend an assessment day in March. Five lucky applicants will be chosen and the whole nation will be able to follow their progress as they aim to change their lives.
“This is such an exciting project”, said Siwan. “We’ve had the support of many organisations and partners who have helped us reach a wide variety of diverse communities in Wales. We can’t wait to meet our applicants and begin filming.”
The series will be broadcast on S4C from April 10th and viewers will be able to follow their own health and fitness plan along with the leaders at s4c.cymru/ffitcymru.
